Re: What are you playing?
Been playing the Diablo 3 beta a lot recently. Hit the level cap on my monk (apparently 13 is as high as you can go in the beta), working on a demon hunter. Wizard is pretty well crap for the beta, since they don't look like they'll be useful until at least level 20. They'll still be glass cannons, however. The monk is pretty much death incarnate from close-range, however. Club with arcane damage in one hand, ropefist with cold damage in the other. Crippling wave for crowd control, deadly reach for the tougher ones, and throw in some exploding palm for good measure. Can't wait to play the full version to use some of the more powerful skills.

Re: What are you playing?
Fable III was on sale for $17 on Steam this weekend. Should still be on sale until 10am Pacific today. I am absolutely blown away at how good it is. I never got into these games before, but this is pretty good!

Re: What are you playing?
I'm on to the next Tomb Raider Level Editor custom level. It's called "Tomb Raider A - The TechnoEgyptians," and so far, I'm not really enjoying it. There are twenty-two levels in total, and I'm eight in, but the whole thing so far just reeks of a sightseeing tour with platforming and puzzling begrudgingly stuffed in there. Every single one of this guy's levels has essentially been a huge room, stuffed with his custom objects (which typically get in the way), and no indication whatsoever where you are supposed to go. It wouldn't be such a big deal if he would just put in a few useful flybys throughout the levels, but he doesn't. You rarely even see a cutaway to your current objective whenever you manage to pull the right lever (or whatever is needed) to unlock it - and your objective is always five thousand miles across the room in backtrack-filled no man's land. I keep having to consult a walkthrough because the objectives are getting more and more obscure as he gets more and more obsessed with his own level design instead of focusing on gameplay. Honestly, I'm going to watch the walkthrough for this level, and if it isn't looking any better, I'm scraping it. I can't do fourteen more levels of tourism.
