Need help with creating my own forum

Something as occured and i have to create a forum of my own, i have been looking into some websites that offer free forum hosting but i have noticed that the customization is not that good.
So how could i obtain a forum like this the a-m-v.org forum, what would i have to do, would i have to install phpbb and configure it myself, how would that be do i download phpbb from http://www.phpbb.com/ install it and then what.. what are the steps to follow, does it generate somekind of php page that i then upload to my website storage server, what is the difficulty on this do you need to be a programing expert for phpbb?

Anyone has any experience with creating forums of their own?

it's not difficult at all... you just need to make sure you follow the directions so ensure everything is secure and setup correctly. You also need a webserver with PHP obviously, and database support.

phpbb is pretty easy to set up.
Like pwolf said, you'll need php and databases (and the database server address). Additionally, having your web hosting on a linux-based server helps because you should need to change a few file/folder permissions.
I've heard complaints about the administration control panel, though since phpbb is all I have experience with I can't really elaborate.

Other free options are FluxBB, Simple Machines Forum, and MyBB

hey tritio, si compadre yo vivo en España Madrid desde el 2001 en realidad soy de Cuba pero vivo aqui desde hace muchos años como puedes ver me meti en la .org en el 2004 pero ahora mismo estoy en inactivo, desde el 2007 que no hago un video xD un dia de estos volvere.
