I should add to my list of over rated.

Pokemon -- the whole thing is just for marketing pokemon crap. every seems or used to worship the great pickachu *shudders*
Eva -- Yeah I say it is really good but it does not live up to it hype at all but it is good
SAILOR MOON- Now it is way over rated. hell a lot of people think is the god of anime. I still do not get what people see in sailor moon

and I will repeat gundamn wing is way over rated.

I say it was all profond but really good I agree with you there and you have to take the deeper meaning of it yes. But it was not as good as every keep saying it was so there for I beleive it was over-rate. Oh and I not a shallow person I under stand shinj pain better than most....

I'm gonna agree on EVA (it's a good series, but the hype that I heard when I first started watching it, subtitled BTW, was talking about it like it was a massive life-changing experience, and while I did find it to be a very good series, it did not meet the hype many set it up for)

Also I'm gonna disagree with Black Monarch on 0080 and 0083 being overrated, quite the opposite really, if you ask most people they're not familiar with them, most people associate Gundam with Gundam Wing and nothing else
Wing, however, I would say is overrated (ok series, but certainly not the end all be all of Gundam that so many make it out to be)

Don't 'wrong' me. It's an opinion, I found the character hollow, void of most emotion, and boring. I know she was supposed to be, yet I didn't like it. Whilst similar to the 'Melfina' character in Outlaw Star, the difference being I liked Melfina, she was an enjoyable character to watch grow, Rei hardly had any awakening at all, apart from one or two token moments.

Erm, again, I saw the sub years ago, and didn't like Misato then. A few months ago I saw one or two episodes of the dub on Sci fi channel, (seeing as I was not that impressed with the sub, you can imagine my hatred for the dub). My views have not been permanently warped, they are still crystal clear. I just disliked Eva sub, and hate the English dub, I don't consider the dub when I rate it...

Stop trying to make excuses for why someone doesn't like Eva, and face it that not everyone share's your opinion.

I enjoyed the Gundam Wing just as much as the other Gundam series, and I only believe that it is over-rated by the people have only seen it on Toonami...

JustAnOrdinaryPanda is right, that Gundam Wing is only over-rated by people who have seem on Toonami. I personally enjoyed it, myself.

Does anyone feel that animes such as :

Hellsing, Noir, FLCL, Serial Experiments Lain, Trigun, Lupin III, .Hack//Sign, Cardcaptor Sakura, Blue Submarine No.6, Sorcerer Hunters, Black Heaven, City Hunter, Vampire Hunter D/VHD: Bloodlust or Prefect Blue

are over-rated or under-rated ?
