On the main website of the newspaper I webmaster for, I put "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays".
Damned if I didn't already get 15 emails demanding that I take out "Happy Holidays" and that I'm some satanic hater of Christmas.
In reply, please read our new banner that I put up this morning:
"Please have a very happy Holiday Season!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Kwanza, Happy Boxing Day, Happy National Whiners Day, Merry Thermometer Day, Happy National Flashlight Day, Happy Humbug Day, Happy Oatmeal Muffin Day, Merry Wear a Plunger On Your Head Day, Happy Wright Brother's Day, Happy Birthday Frank Sinatra, Happy National Noodle Ring Day, In Remembrance of Pearl Harbor, and Happy New Year from all of us at -newspaper name-!"
My boss high fived me tonight, because he's sick of this "war on Christmas" shit too.
