Not for nothing, but this (coupled with all the other stuff you've posted in the past) really sounds like a situation you should attempt to extract yourself from because it's not going to get better.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:*sigh* I don't mind it if the internet is off for a few days. Mom has to juggle which bills she pays. I get it. Fine.
What I do mind is that she never gives me advance warning that it's about to be turned off. The dry spell was about ten days this time, and of course I have plenty of games and whatnot to keep me occupied during that time, but unfailingly, the disconnection falls when I need to do something financial online.
Also, I'm kind of getting sick of giving her money to buy me something and not getting back the change, after which she'll guilt trip me if I ask about it, saying that she needed the money for gas or couldn't have eaten lunch otherwise. She promises to pay me back, but that's never going to happen. She owes me over two thousand dollars.
Oh, and my first school loan payment is due on Christmas. Fucking scrooges. : |

niiiiice, our Christmas editorial is how ridiculous the anti-Christmas mantra is. /propsCodeZTM wrote:Varying degrees of irritation.
On the main website of the newspaper I webmaster for, I put "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays".
Damned if I didn't already get 15 emails demanding that I take out "Happy Holidays" and that I'm some satanic hater of Christmas.
In reply, please read our new banner that I put up this morning:
"Please have a very happy Holiday Season!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Kwanza, Happy Boxing Day, Happy National Whiners Day, Merry Thermometer Day, Happy National Flashlight Day, Happy Humbug Day, Happy Oatmeal Muffin Day, Merry Wear a Plunger On Your Head Day, Happy Wright Brother's Day, Happy Birthday Frank Sinatra, Happy National Noodle Ring Day, In Remembrance of Pearl Harbor, and Happy New Year from all of us at -newspaper name-!"
My boss high fived me tonight, because he's sick of this "war on Christmas" shit too.

Not a good Christmas for me
I'm alone and haven't even talked to a live person face-to-face since my exam last week. In less than 2 weeks from now, I'll have no family left in this country for a while (though at least I get to see my brother before then... then again, as some may know my relationship with him isn't always great). Then I'm still loaded down with work that I pretty much need to do today, but have no motivation of finishing up. No thanks to the shitty pay from that work, of course, I'm broke and didn't even have money left over for a bottle of wine after groceries yesterday. Worse yet, my credit card has been blocked due to my inability to pay off the minimum (for the same reason of broke-ness), so I couldn't even try to sneak any last-minute online presents for people either. And to add insult to injury, my laptop is starting to have some nasty hardware/cooling issues despite being less than a year old, and a long-term strategy game I'd been playing for the last month by email just folded on me because of sheer bad luck (think series of many terrible dice rolls in a row... yeah).
Ah well, first world problems. Hope you guys are having a better one than me though ;__;

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Check your Steam account, we sent you something. It's not much, but maybe you can play it and it'll help brighten your day.

Dawww, thank you! I actually had an older version of that game and have been playing it, but now I can load it up with some mods and fly around again :3 Sad I can't partake in some Ileia cooking like last Christmas too, but ah well

If there were any feasible way, George, I would buy you a bottle of wine.

Was sent the emergency room last night. Still currently sitting in a hospital room waiting to find out if I can be released today. Lovely way to spend Christmas.
