Before we continue let me reinforce a few points from the above thread:
What kind of standards are you looking for?
Obviously, as has been the case with previous installments, Reflections of Style demands a pretty high-standard of editing. The crowd wants something spectacular. However, in saying that, I'm totally open to the idea of 'new blood' editors applying, as long as you can provide me with an example of how good you are. It won't matter if you're someone I've never had dealings with, or if your name is Brad and I sleep on your couch 1 month out of every year. This will become more apparent in the sign-up thread that will be hitting the forums in one weeks time.
Is there anything else I should know about what will be expected of me if I join?
Yes. You must play well with others. This is a multi-editor project. Flow is one of the most important aspects of the RoS projects and this one will be no different. It simply is not something you can accomplish on your own in just your track.
-------------------------
Onwards to new information:
The track listings have precise timecodes, however I expected everyone to keep open communication with those who have a track both before and after them to work out the best way to transition from on track to the next. If you feel a hard cut is going to work, go for it. If you want to spend 10 seconds between the tracks working on an intricate transition do that too. The key thing here is to maintain a really solid flow throughout the project. Talk to people and figure out what's going to work best.
Each mp3 for each track has an additional second at the start and end of where the transitions would occur.

DISCLAIMER: Anyone thinking of Track 09 or Track 10 needs to be aware that I'm expecting a huge amount of co-operation and collaboration between the two editors that get those tracks. It's two halves of a climax so the transition and editing styles are going to need to be similar, so I'll be factoring that into my choices.
ANOTHER DISCLAIMER: I will be placing an embargo on any tracks from Song 2 using Tron or Tron: Legacy as their source footage (for obvious reasons). This is non-negotiable. Please keep this in mind.

HOW DO I SIGN UP? (Shamelessly taken from RoS3)
If you are interested in taking part in this project, then please reply to this thread and post your top 3 track requests and the sources you plan to use for each. This is NOT a first come, first serve system. Signups will last for a period of exactly 1 week1 from the date of this post. During that time many people will hopefully have made their track requests. At the very end of the track signups I will announce (after some deliberation) track choices.
When requesting a track, PLEASE post it on this thread.
Here is an example of an acceptable signup post (feel free to include sources you'd use if you have an idea - the examples I used are off the top of my head):
Prodigi (Cal W)
Choice 1: Track 4 (Matrix)
Choice 2: Track 10
Choice 3: Track 6 (Farscape)
Link to an example of editing / live action editing (if you feel this is necessary)
Here is an example of an unacceptable signup post:
Prodigi
track 1, 3, 9
Anything else?
Code phrase to prove that you've actually read the above should be included in your post: "Pass the sugar-coated Brad".
-------------------------
That's all I can think of right now. Editing specs, etc, won't become available until I've finalised the editor line-up, but rest assured visual quality is a must (nothing below DVD).
With 18 slots not everyone will get a slot so let me say in advance: if you don't get a slot it does not reflect on you as an editor. With 18 slots and (so far) a large amount of interest there's only so many people I can include.
-------------------------
EDIT: A few people have asked if they can update their selections. This is fine. Whatever you've posted will not be considered "locked-in" until the deadline. If you can't edit your post then just quote it with corrections.
