An anime with a Step-Father (Can't remember the name)

So this has been killing me for a few hours now.

I've watched an anime years ago which I needed a certain scene from for an amv I'm working on, but I cannot remember the name, neither the storyline of it. The only scene I remember is a girl having a flash-back about her past... where she's sitting against the wall, in a dark red-ish room... looking at her Step-Father, then calls her "dad". But the step-father turns around and says "I'm not your father", or something along those lines...

I thought it'd be Clannad but a friend of mine said it's not. Prolly not enough clues, but does it ring a bell for anyone? Thanks!

I'd lock it, but before I think it would be nice if you told the title of the anime you were searching, so that if somebody looking for your same anime comes here, they'll have a clue with this thread.

AMV Suggestions is strictly for AMV related questions and such. Considering the thread here at hand is a generic "looking for an anime I don't recall the title of," with AMVs not being the explicit focus, I'd say General Anime is appropriate too. Much like one posts in General AMV when searching for an AMV they recall some things about.
As far as the other thread goes, well, he already made a topic about it there. Should perhaps merge them, at most.

LOL, as embarrassing as this sounds... because this was over 5-6 years ago, and the scene was quite blurry in my head... I thought it would have been an anime, but it's actually a live action. Spent a good 2 hours thinking/remembering hard til I realised >.< I would have mentioned it otherwise though.
But if anyone would still like to know, even though it's not anime-related, it's from Nobuta Wo Produce.
