@Code - No, you definitely don't want to go to Arizona, trust me haha. And no offense to anyone who actually lives there. I have relatives there though and I visit about twice a year - it's hot and miserable, overcrowded, the people are just fake fake fake, their school system is terrible, resulting in a lot of ignorant losers, the economy there is a dump, people do nothing but party at night because you can't do anything during the day, and so on. It's really the only place I hate with a genuine passion.
Though if you're only concerned about natural disasters and such, Arizona might be a good choice. Here in Western Colorado, even eastern, there's nothing either, but if you can't stand blizzards and the such, it's not a great place haha. Though if you're not a skier or anything, you don't have to worry so much about avalanches. Plus the views are great
And extracurricular activities are aplenty.
