all tracks effects
is it possible to do an effect over several tracks at once, or do I have to render it and use that?

Re: all tracks effects
You may use as many effects on a single track or video clip in Sony Vegas including repeating the same ones as you like.
Note that if you include more effects, it will naturally require a lengthier rendering time to process these effects.
*edit
Say, for example, you have a number of tracks and you want to add an effect over multiple tracks at once and edit them all... As far as I know, you must add individually or render project and add to the single rendered video track.

Re: all tracks effects
Add the effect you want to the bar there and then it applies it to the entire track of that bar

I think (s)he means all of the tracks, not just one, unless I am mistaken.
A track is the entire row, not the individual video clips. Right?

Re: all tracks effects
lol just drag the effect to each track, easy enough. Yes the track is the entire row and by adding the effect to the begginning place where it says "here" you have added the effect to every single clip on that track.

Re: all tracks effects
But that's not all tracks at once (what I called impossible as far as I know), that's merely dumping them onto a single track which was not what the original question asked for...
It seems like (s)he wanted your answer but I think (s)he phrased better it for my answer.
Anyway, job done.

LOL??? did you even read my post? I already stated how to add the effect to the entire project at once. READ it again and this time try to understand my language, i may not have been too clear.

A project can have more than one track.
LEARN what a track is.
