Re: Bleach
after azien's defeat I figured the ratings would go down. The entire fullbring arc felt like one of the fillers, random characters with new powers show up, have a big showdown with ichigo and company and get their asses kicked, then back to the main plot. Current arc the manga just began is the last one, hopefully there will be a bit of closure as far as some of the big questions that have been bugging the series this whole time.

Did it move to another day on another channel then?mirkosp wrote:It's not a timeslot change. TV Tokyo dropped it. It will continue on TV Osaka only, since BS Japan is pretty much TV Tokyo's Broadcast Satellite channel.

Re: Bleach
And with that, animated Bleach comes to an end until the manga ends and they animate that because they probably just have no ideas for a new filler arc and were losing views anyways.
Regardless, I teared up. I'm gonna miss hearing everyone and seeing those select few fights gawgously-animated.

Re: Bleach
It's not permanently over, it's just that they're only 4 weeks behind the manga and no one wants to see any more fillers so they're gonna take a break till the new arc gets a good lead time. The last arc of bleach (which the manga is on) is supposedly supposed to be a pretty long one

I was always baffled by the fact that they can animate faster than people can draw.Jasta85 wrote:It's not permanently over, it's just that they're only 4 weeks behind the manga and no one wants to see any more fillers so they're gonna take a break till the new arc gets a good lead time. Re: Bleach
Well, they have more people working on it at once, but more to the point, plot moves faster in animation than it does on the page. A fight that lasts several chapters looks really weird when it lasts several episodes, because one is maybe five minutes of time to read and the other is a couple hours to watch even though exactly the same things happen. So a series with lots of action moves faster in animated form (most shonen stuff) but something that's wordswordswords may not (Death Note, lol).TEKnician wrote:I was always baffled by the fact that they can animate faster than people can draw.

Re: Bleach
Anyone reading the manga of this? I'm enjoying the normally arrogant shinigami captains get pwned so hard. I mean Byakuya Kuchiki who is normally calmed and composed, looked like he ****** his pants the past chapter. Of course this means that Ichigo will have to power up another 1000% times to bail soul society out, so it'll be interesting to see how ridiculously powerful Kubo will make him by the finale of the whole franchise.

Re: Bleach
honestly, I felt it should have ended after Aizen was beaten. The whole fullbring arch felt pointless, the whole concept of fullbring and all its supporting characters were introduced and then promptly defeated all in one arch. the only thing that had changed at the end of it was the ichigo got his powers back (which could have easily been fixed by just not having him lose them after the aizen fight).
Now we got a ton of Quincies who show up out of nowhere and pwn everyone with new superpowers and stuff, and no one knew they existed before this somehow, and they never showed up until now even with the arrancar threatening to take over everything. And this is the last arch as well. All I'm hoping for is that we finally get to see the bankai's of the captains/vice captains who havn't shown them yet.
I still say Kenpachi's bankai is a huge chainsaw that kills everything. I'm seriously pissed Aizen never used his bankai either before he went into butterfly mode.

Re: Bleach
Granted it's still using the stock shounen plot of 'ranked group of army generals fighting each other', but at least there's no damsel in distress plot. Yet, anyway.OropherZero wrote:Anyone reading the manga of this? I'm enjoying the normally arrogant shinigami captains get pwned so hard. But in a lot of ways it is nice to see things getting changed up a bit. My inner German student is crying at the name choices, though.

Re: Bleach
It made sense for him to lose his powers. He was as powerful as he could be at that time, having joined the human / shinigami / Hollow parts of himself, and the only way for him to keep moving and growing was to step back down again. It might not have been necessary to strip him of all his spiritual power, but it's more dramatically satisfying this way. And his powers would have come back anyway, as Isshin's did.Jasta85 wrote:honestly, I felt it should have ended after Aizen was beaten. I've been peeking in on the manga based on Tito's new attitude to character endangerment and I'm interested in what Yamamoto is pulling out of his hat at the moment, but as far as I'm concerned Bleach ended at the end of Volume 48.
