Can't help but post here whenever I post in vent thread, because I sorta realize worrying about some things is dumb. Fun times with fun peoples tonight.

Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
Phew. After a lot of stressing and double-thinking (and massive budgeting calculations), I just gave my two-weeks notice with the newspaper I've been working for since 2004.
The job stress had been climbing, my pay hadn't changed in over 3 years, and I was getting zero respect there anymore. Now that I have my full time job at the accounting office, I did the math and will only have to cut back a *little* bit on my entertainment budget and add a month to paying off my credit card debt. In exchange for that, I lose 15-20 hours of stress and don't have to deal with the moronic clientele that I serve.
So yes. This is a MASSIVE celebration for me, because it marks the first time I've ever said "NO" to someone and taken control in my life. I grew a pair.
Magnus had a lot to do with this really. I thought about it and realized it was stupid to keep working at a job that I hated and didn't need to keep.

They offered her the job, she accepted, and she's starting in two weeks!Fire_Starter (in the Vent Thread) wrote:This Valentine's day however, a very dear friend of mine has a job interview. This job would bring her back to the area and I wouldn't have to drive 3-4 hours to see her. It would contain a lot of advancement opportunities for her, be in the field she loves, and I would be able to see her more often. That makes this particular v-day something worth being happy about.

Congrats sir. Having a job where you are not appreciated is one of the worst things ever, and it's a double edged sword since you need the money but you hate the job.CodeZTM wrote:So yes. Office PC = getting upgrades.
I've been stuck running Pinnacle Studio 15 on a 4gb machine for a while now (RAM isn't a dealbreaker, but Pinnacle is.....ugh). Boss just had me order 24gb for it, along with a copy of Premiere CS5.5. I can has REAL software now, lol.

Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
I've been more active with the community overall lately, something I've been doing on and off but plan on having my presence around quite a bit more to offset that feeling as if the AMV world has gotten a little bit quieter in general nowadays.
Also, if the bookstore nearby has it, I will be able to pick up Revan today, a book Ileia recommended. Haven't sat down and read a book-book in a while.
