I'm suppressing my sadness at the moment for something that shouldn't even be a big deal. . .

Argh, this is the stupidest problem ever, but I can't go to bed any more because I don't trust myself to get up in time for class. This is the third time this week that I've stayed up all night, all because I lose track of time and can't go to bed after 11. If I go to bed after 11, I always end up sleeping all day the next day. Like, even if I set my alarm for 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, I turn it off each time in my half-asleep state and go back to sleep. If I don't get up before 7, I don't get up at all. Coffee helps me stay awake during the day, but if I stay up all night more than twice in 3 days or so my heart gets all fluttery, and I'm sure caffeine doesn't help... I dunno, this is so unstructured because I haven't slept and a strange vent that I could probably easily solve if I could just be more responsible, I'm just really, really shitty at getting up in the mornings.

ACS final. ACS final. F'ING ACS FINAL.

I know you've done a lot of good things, American Chemical Society, but seriously? SERIOUSLY? Your tests at 7:45 in the morning almost made me want to claw my eyes out. Almost. And now I have another final in microbiology at four o'clock today. Which I haven't had time to study for. BECAUSE I WAS STUDYING FOR THE ASC TEST. sklzfjsiodnfseioduhjnsd

A couple nights ago while hanging out with some friends in town I was told about this dog named Rosco that is looking for a good home. I said I'd make a "free to a good home" poster and I just needed to know some details about the dog. As my friend Courtney told me about the life this dog has had, I sat there and cried like a little bitch.

This poor dog was bought by a man who, at first, adored him. His kids were all over him and he was spoiled and got to stay inside. Then out of nowhere the man (who apparently has MAJOR mental/emotional problems) bought another dog and basic said "fuck you" to Rosco. Rosco was thrown outside, rarely ever got attention, was once left in his kennel with no food or water for 3 days, abandoned multiple times while they took the other dogs on trips and forced to fight against this dude's other dogs so that when he lost, the guy could say what a worthless dog he was just to try and justify not paying any attention to him.

The guy's grandmother eventually found out about it. It took a while since she doesn't live near them and didn't visit often. She took the dog who was inches away from death and has been feeding him and taking care of him for almost a year now. He's healthy, but she can't afford to take care of him. He's a boxer so he's a big guy and when she tries to walk him he almost drags her since he's so strong now.

The things this poor dog had to go through though. Starvation, loneliness and the shock of being loved one moment and cast away the next. It makes me want to vomit and cry at the same time. And I know they're going to have a hard time finding him a home. He's a total sweetheart and ADORES kids but he's like 7 years old, hasn't had recent shots and isn't fixed. That in combination with being a big dog is all working against him.

I really hope Rosco finds a good home. But in the meantime, I start to shake with rage when I think about what he went through. ;_______________;

Animal abuse makes me sick.
