this sounds so awesome im in,group A if that group gets dropped then B i saw something like this in the beginning of the year when i signed up telling who won i thought it be so cool to enter something like a online amv contest i read the rules but me being new i don't understand somethings like once we make the videos where do we put them on a-m-v.org account as a new video or send them by email the hole rules for newbies to this site is kind of confusing it also says..Article 3 4.9 You MUST use the audio that is provided to you...then as you scroll down it says...Article 8: Each entrant will be required to submit at least 5 songs that they wish to edit with...im confused here so witch is it do i have to use a song that is given or can i pick 5 songs as it says and as were on topic can we use clips from series we want to use or is that pre selected to please undestand im one of thos newbie locals.

At last, about time! By the way... i have to say this. I don't want to seem like a bad person but... I expected more renown editors. All i see in the brackets are newcomers and not so famous members that tried to take their chance. I would do the same if i were them, of course, but... it all happened so quick. It would be a total exaggeration to make it a 128-members tournament (even though it would be filled up very quickly, imo) but... what the hell. It's still a challenge... i hope.

It's a great opportunity for theses newcomers to improve 'cause they'll have to edit the best way they can in only one week so that they're not disqualified ^^

You will be given multiple options to submit your video for judging. The contest is not blind so you will either be able to use the FTP info that will be provided to you by me, upload your video to the org, or use a different upload site such as sendspace, mediafire, etc...to deliver your video to me so it can be presented to the judges.
All entrants are submitting 5 songs. Those 5 songs are being thrown into a very large pool and then randomly assigned to a bracket. By submitting your 5 song selections, it's a very small chance for you to actually get to edit to a song you submit, but then again, it's also very possible it won't be used at all or it will be assigned to a different group bracket. The song your bracket is assigned is the song you must edit with.sirmichaelvalentine wrote:Article 3 4.9 You MUST use the audio that is provided to you...then as you scroll down it says...Article 8: Each entrant will be required to submit at least 5 songs that they wish to edit with...im confused here so witch is it do i have to use a song that is given or can i pick 5 songs as it says.
So basically, I'll be getting about 320 songs but only a fraction of those will be used :O

You are allowed to use whatever anime you want. Multi-anime videos are allowed. As long as it fits the rules, then you can use it.
I won't be expanding the brackets at this time. Better luck next year However, the goals I had in mind for this tournament were:Animated wrote:At last, about time! By the way... i have to say this. 1) Have an amazing time with this kick ass contest. I ADORED it when it was done by the French and I'm really looking forward to seeing what other people can do.
2) Bring in new members and get them involved in the community.
What people don't seem to realize or notice is that while yes, we have got a decent amount of "new people" in the contest, while some of these are actually brand new editors, some are actually editors from other sites such as AMV France or youtube who have been editing for quite a while now but have never actually been active on the org. Besides, having two different editor of the years thrown in there isn't enough for you guys?
As for everyone that is still trying to sign up, we are already full but if a slot opens up in the group you are requesting between now and the time before that group has to edit, you may be contacted as a replacement.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions.
Note: If you would like to join both The Quickening and CodeZTM's Project Org Editor, Code is allowing people editing in both contests to get to edit "early" if they so choose to do so (assuming that there will be overlap in our weeks).
