Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - (EZ Rules) DEADLINE: MAY 5
Regarding the submission form mail-in requirement:
Exceptions will be made for international entrants. Such entrants may submit your video and submission form digitally through the following means:
1) Print out a submission form. Fill it out completely and sign it by hand.
2) Write a link to your video's download link on your form.
3) Scan your submission form and email it to amv[at]spja.org on or before the deadline (May 5th). Please also retype your video's download link in the email.
4) KEEP YOUR SUBMISSION FORM FOR YOUR RECORDS. If your video makes it into the finals, you may be required to mail in your submission form.
I'll be working on making digital submission forms a reality for everybody next year.

Yet another reason to submit early, just in case export issues crop up.Kazemon15 wrote:I just finished my AMV...now for the dreading exporting.
Of the videos I have received thus far, a very large percentage of entrants chose to invoke their option to resubmit an improved version of their video after I pointed out DQ'able yet easily correctable issues (such as aspect ratio flaws, audio sample rate flaws, file format flaws, etc). That's a luxury granted to those who submit their videos well ahead of the deadline.

I don't know if I should be surprised that you actually found a page from the Naruto manga in response to my quote or that its actually the perfect response. I'd at least want to compete with you in a contest for once, especially if your going to retire.Castor Troy wrote:Quoted Image converted to link:Ryvannis wrote:

Was going to enter, but I don't have a printer to mail in a fourm. Stupid rule. Why can't I just send you a download link instead with video info?

Don't let such a thing as trivial as paper stand in your way! To Kinkos!!!xDreww wrote:Was going to enter, but I don't have a printer to mail in a fourm. Stupid rule. Why can't I just send you a download link instead with video info?
Seriously, I know ya'll are allergic to teh paper and such, but bear with me for this year. Solutions are being worked on for next year. I hate having to do data entry from all these forms as much as you hate sending them.

There is no need of paper. Just edit your form in .doc file, scan and attach your signature at the "signature" place in submission form, as a .jpeg file. As i did here:
I'm hoping this should not be a problem, but more a solution.
