This post clearly shows that you are uninformed about video playback.Ryvannis wrote:Saying VLC is shitty is like equivalent of saying that you need more gas in you're car after saying that a full tank isn't enough to drive you 10 miles. I'm sorry but if you cannot run it in VLC then it certainly will not run with anything else. I have had zero issues with it so far. I don't even understand what you mean by you're analogy. How can it not play everything well? There are a slew of options to even deinterlace, blend frames, and adjust the footage as you are watching. I cannot comprehend how something would look worse in another video player. Unless you're running Windows 98.BasharOfTheAges wrote:That's because VLC is kinda shitty. It's meant to play everything, not play everything well. Definitely not something that should even be considered to be used in a serious playback environment.
I'm also fumbled by some of these MP4 sync issues too, it's a first really.
VLC 2.0 and following is better than what it used to be (it used to be, quite frankly, shitty), but it still has a number of issues. It still lacks at least a couple features and does not support all formats.
A better solution while still staying outside of directshow would be mplayer2, which is what the conplayer Quu is doing is based on.
