Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - (EZ Rules) DEADLINE: MAY 5
i've been out of the loop for a bit, so apologies if this question has been answered, but has the finalist judging format changed from last year?
I always thought the judging was done all together in blocks (with breaks) instead of having individual judges send in ballots at later times.
again if this is something that has been answered or is kept unknown that is fine. just wondering here.
I am with Rider on this one, I'll prolly just wait for the announcement here.

Re: Anime Expo 2012 AMV Contest - (EZ Rules) DEADLINE: MAY 5
It was. A small issue came up due to too few people at staff judging. When the panel is too small, personal biases can seep in and wreak havok on the averages. To prevent that, I decided to add another phase of judging. Independent judging was something I planned on implementing next year, but ended up pushing forward to this year.milkmandan wrote:i've been out of the loop for a bit, so apologies if this question has been answered, but has the finalist judging format changed from last year?

Next year there will be quite a few changes, from the judging to the scoring methodology to the category types, etcetera. [prepares a crucifix for the AMTV category]

Cool, there've been some things that have needed changing for quite some time. Good riddance to AMTV.xstylus wrote: It was. A small issue came up due to too few people at staff judging. First order of business is to ban other events from Nokia and keep it all for AMVs, right?
edit: Oh, speaking of change, I think last year there was some discussion about moving the bulk of the preshow from old AMVs to ones submitted the current year that didn't make it to finals. Will anything like that be happening this year? Sorry if you already addressed this, I thought there was a "search this topic" button but now I can't find it.
