Girls that Grow?
I am looking for anime where girl characters essentially grow:
- maybe they conquer a dream
- learn to love again after a broken heart
- get over a break up or friendship
- excel at a sport they couldn't before
Even anime where its possible to manipulate sad scenes to happy scenes to make it seem like they "grow" would work also. I also would prefer animes within this similar animation styles (or maybe so types of animes I am looking at):
Ef - Melodies/Memories
Aquarion Evol
Hanasaku Iroho
A-Channel
Ano Natsu de Matteru
Toradora
Denpa Onna
Kimi Ni Todoke
Yosuga no Sora

"Rideback" might be a nice add in, though I don't want to include machines in this AMV as much. (or I haven't decided if I wanted to)
Paprika is too far off in the animation style I would prefer to keep it within, and no I don't like "Welcome to the NHK?" =p, and I've seen too many AnoHana AMVs.
If you look at Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Chihiyafuru, Uta Kata, or Kaleido Star those are some good examples of types of girl "empowerment?" animes I am looking for. Ones that already show a remarkable strength a girl fights for/eventually fights for. Or even can be edited to look like she does. The song I am using is 4 minutes long and is a planned mix but I don't have enough scenes I think would work good D:

Re: Girls that Grow?
Shugo Chara possibly? Not sure if the animation style will work though.
Kisa from Fruits Basket might also work.
Definitely NANA, half the show is about broken hearts and relationships.

What about Shuffle? Lot's strong-willed girls in there. Or maybe one of the following...
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Sailor Moon (a stretch, I realize, but ya never know)
His and Her Circumstances
Love Hina (I'm sure there were a few episodes that dealt with the individual dilemmas that each girl had to deal with)
It's too bad that the main character of FLCL wasn't a girl... lol
