Make what makes you happy, be proud of it if you want to, but don't expect everyone to agree with it. As many have said, AMVs in this community are held to extremely high standards. There are very clear do's and don'ts, a savvy audience and a bar that is constantly being set higher and higher. I doubt anyone's picking your AMV out for any kind of critique that wouldn't also apply to similar videos around here. Don't take it personally, but do try to understand where that critique is coming from and learn something from it. That's pretty much the point of this site. If you think you have nothing to learn and don't want critique, then it sounds like this site might not be the best fit for you.

This. Nobody's perfect. And hell, let's say you are perfect in editing... there's always jealousy. Ignore the trolls and welcome all kind of advice that is given to you.

My videos get criticism all the time. Here, and on youtube. I send betas to my friends and there are many times when my friends will offer criticism. 90% of the time, I disagree with the criticism and don't bother changing what people have suggested because I like how it looks. Does that mean I should whine and complain about it or cuss them out? Just agree to disagree, and move on with your life.

I edit for myself and the anime fandom though - not for other editors. From what you've posted I can only gather that you're editing to impress strangers on the internet. If you really want to impress strangers on the internet - then calm your tits, man up, and listen to what those people have to say.

If you want to edit whatever the hell you want and phuq da police, then well, I doubt you would've posted this in the first place.
