altho i will acknowledge, be it comedy or not, you're the first person i know in my eight years of attending AX to get a pure Dragonball Z music video into the finals.

TrufflePigStudios wrote:My point- even if the judges were biased (which I dont' think they are, especially considering that Yue's "Dreamer" vid is in the finals, and it uses an older anime.
Though I have to note, Yue's "Dreamer" vid was in a sharper and cleaner quality than some HD submissions, impressively enough. I'll show my ignorance in saying that I haven't the faintest clue what she's talking about when she refers to "cleaning" her footage (I don't even know how that's possible), but whatever she's doing, it's working.

And +1 regarding L33TMEATWAD proving that a candle still burns for the classics. :)

I've just sent out a notice containing information on where your AMV tickets may be obtained.

If you received the email, you have tickets waiting for you. If you did NOT receive an email, worry. Though there's only two or three people who I rejected though, so mostly everybody who sent a vid will be getting tickets.

For one, I did use the bluray remasters but I still had to clean them up a bit due to noise and such.
By cleaning I mean AVS scripting, fastlinedarken, telecide, decimate, aWarpsharp, etc... Scripts to help touch up the footage like darkening lines, smoothing things out, getting rid of noise, de-interlacing, and all kinds of other things. There is an entire forum section dedicated to cleaning and prepping footage. Or if you ask in #AMV there is just about always someone there to lend a hand. Niotex, Pwolf, Mirkosp, and a couple others are gods when it comes to that kind of stuff. I'm not to great with scripting myself, but that's one of the things awesome friends are for. :P

 I'm also always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs helping with using avisynth to help clean up footage.

I also seem to need help getting my footage looking right, so I just may take you up on that. :)
