The real question is, do you want to be the first video shown; where, by the end, they can't remember it? ... or the last, where they weren't awake for it? ...VicBond007 wrote:131 entries.

Whoever sent in the AMV with the EPIC MAH JONGG DEATHMATCH has my vote for "Favorite Video We Watched During the Prescreenings." Not since Hikaru No Go (I think) has something so mundane become such a life-and-death occasion.
Oh yeah, the prescreenings: they were a lot more enjoyable this year than last year. Most of it was thanks to Vic rearranging the categories a little bit, with comedy going last. And by God, what has happened to comedy? I only saw about 4 videos in Comedy that had a decent shot of competing; the rest just missed the mark completely or somehow mis-categorized their video.
Now we wait on who makes the cut and who doesn't. Considering how the scoring may go, I am beginning to think that some categories might have a lot fewer entries than in previous years. But we'll see.

I'm starting to believe that I shouldn't have the AMV in which I went all 1999 with my video, along with a boy band as the musical artist. I deeply regret it now, hope no one saw it as a troll.

If you haven't seen/read The Legend of Koizumi (Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku -- and yes, that's Former Prime Minister Koizumi we're talking about), Cyanna and I both highly recommend it. It's a huge part of the reason I learned how to play Japanese mahjong last year. Also it makes the Pope look badass.Brakus wrote:Whoever sent in the AMV with the EPIC MAH JONGG DEATHMATCH has my vote for "Favorite Video We Watched During the Prescreenings." Though it's a little scary that Yulia Tymoshenko apparently DOES dress and look like that.

I for one loved it. I did think it better belonged in Romance, though, but I thought it was cute in an "awwwww" sort of way.Ryvannis wrote:I'm starting to believe that I shouldn't have the AMV in which I went all 1999 with my video, along with a boy band as the musical artist.
