For My [not]Brother who died last month...
The month of June was just NOT the best month this year. I found out that my cousin (who was like a brother to me) had died on the job. He was a tree trimmer. He had fallen to his death. It wasn't so gruesome that he was unidentifiable, he suffered internal injuries. I was told by my aunty that he looked so peaceful when he "went to sleep". That was my only comfort. I knew that I would at least get to see him in an open casket at the funeral this month. I never really got him into anime, but he had a few favorites himself. He also loved Maroon 5. I thought i'd do this as a send-off.
This AMV is more symbolic than you know. I thought the lyrics were just too perfect to pass up. Thank you, Overture, for letting me use a part of your AMV in this. I really appreciate it.
Almost as hard as fighting a Holy Paladin.

Sorry for your loss but it is assuring to know that it was a peaceful slumber, right?
On to the video, knowing the sentiment I had a different approach to watching the video and I tried to put myself in your shoes. Actually not more than three days ago we lost a very close family friend who passed away due to a robbery. When I watched it I had a similar sentiment so at the very least I could say I truly enjoyed the video sitting here going through the motions. I could visualize the edits and the thoughts behind the lyrics and it definitely sent off a great message considering the grief.
I'm sure that if he's seeing the video somehow, he would be a happy to know he has someone who cares enough to remember him in the best possible light. Thanks for sharing your story as well.
