Actually, what I hate more then the fact that happened is the response that theaters seem to be taking because of it. MJR in our area canceled all midnight showings for the next week and will not allow anyone wearing costumes or masks in. Seriously? That will stop this kind of thing from happening?
Not that I plan to dress up or anything, but seriously?

When you get too much sleep and start having weird messed up dreams that almost borderlines into nightmares. Though, those aren't as bad as dreams when you're trying to wake up but can't and you don't realize it's a dream until you wake up. It's even worse when you wake up and have to look around to make sure where you really are, as opposed to other places where you had those dreams before.

STOP MAKING BATMAN, SUPERMAN MOVIES! FUCK.... we get it batman's parents died and superman married lois lane . FUCKING STOP ALREADY
There are many other MORE INTERESTING comic book Characters than those two losers. If you going to make another batman RELATED MOVIE atleast have the villan as the main character.....I would probably go see a movie named "Harley Quinn" or "Nightwing"
The End

Not to pry too much into your country's affairs but I was disturbed that a witness described the incident as 'it's like being in a movie', I think that reflects the primary problem...? Of course I could go on to say that your country should just ban guns but then I've read a patriotic american in the comment sections of one of the articles relating to the incident saying that the legalisation of guns in the country gives you a sense of real freedom no other country has, power of the individual over the law or something. At that point I closed the website and concluded that I'll never understand how you Americans thinkngsilver wrote:Actually, what I hate more then the fact that happened is the response that theaters seem to be taking because of it. Actually, the real point of the right to bear arms goes hand in hand with the right to form a militia. It's that the constitution gives the people the right to basically rise up against the government. That is, the right to do what we did so long ago, if we feel the government is no longer doing what it was meant to do.OropherZero wrote:Not to pry too much into your country's affairs but I was disturbed that a witness described the incident as 'it's like being in a movie', I think that reflects the primary problem...? The problem with this now however, is that people are to complacent with the way things are or are too apathetic in order to do anything about it. But alas, that's reality. And unlike the dumbass who commented 'it's like being in a movie' I can tell the difference between reality and fantasy. It's people and comments like those that are the reason we can't have nice things.

It's not about stopping it from happening, I don't think. The same bans were implemented at theaters here (obviously), and I'm glad for it. If I ever went the theaters after that and saw someone's face covered up, my thoughts would immediately return to this. I'm an awfully paranoid person though and these gloom and doom thoughts always cross my mind, but I was also about 10 minutes away from the shooting when it happened. For other states, I don't see it helping any. But I think it's meant more for people like me. Though people like me aren't going to the movies ever again, so idk.ngsilver wrote:Actually, what I hate more then the fact that happened is the response that theaters seem to be taking because of it. I have to admit, I was feeling a bit paranoid while watching the film. Maybe not so much paranoid but just very uncomfortable during any scenes with gunfire in them. I think perhaps it was just knowing that one of those parts was when the guy decided to kill those people. uhg.Taite wrote:It's not about stopping it from happening, I don't think.
