Since the power to kill a deity is in his hands, he therefore looms over all mortals on Earth.

Since of all mortals who live in the world, none can assume a power to match his!

Kusanagi Godou, a 16 year old boy who played in the senior league as catcher and fourth hitter - that is, the cleanup - when he was in Junior High. However, an injury put an end to baseball.

Though that was not the end for him. During the spring break of his third and last year in Junior High, he got involved in an adventure and ended up slaying one of the Heretic Gods, Verethragna. Thus, he became the youngest - and seventh - Campione.

Now that he is a Campione, a godslayer, the young Godou must defeat the troublemaking gods, with the help of his followers!

The plot is so so but I think it could entertain me. For I like both of the characters

After 2nd episode it's obvious to me that this show ..... is gonna be my guilty pleasure.

I'm actually enjoying this series a lot more than some of the others such as Dog Days and Arcana Famiglia, actually liked ep 2 over sword art online's ep 2 as well. couple reasons

Spoiler :

1. the main character isn't an idiot - so many series have the happy go lucky main character who's a complete idiot in just about every respect (Dog Days, Arcana Famiglia, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon), this guy is actually normal for the most part.

2. It's actually got somewhat of an interesting plot, and both eps are supporting the plot so far without useless filler stuff (unlike Arcana Famiglia)

3. the action is pretty interesting, sure it's already close to Bleach level of fighting but actually having limits on his abilities (only being able to use one aspect each day and other limitations) should make the fights more than just shooting off large lasers of holy light.

4. It's blatantly going to be a harem series but I actually like the female lead so far (she's not a nadeshiko or tsundere, more of a cock tease lol). The fact that she has some dignity and openly said she loved him to his face (seriously, how often does that happen in any anime these days, especially by the 2nd episode. Last series I remember that happening in was Bakemonogatari) really put her a cut above most other female leads.

Anyway, i'll definitely keep watching this, one of the few series that got more interesting after watching the 2nd ep

damnit, athena is my favorite greek goddess (I'm a history buff and ancient greece/rome is one of my favorite periods of time) and they turned her into a loli. At least they kept the "grey eyed goddess" part.

So far I'm enjoying Erika as a character the most out of this series, just because she has such a strong and direct personality.

I'm not sure if they're gonna get to it or if it was on purpose or just a mistake, but I really don't care for that shire girl whatsoever.

Athena did some ass kicking but Godou didn't really do much.. I thought he would at least use one of his avatars even if he like missed with the attack. Be he just stood there

I do like the fact that the fight in ep 7 didn't just end from him using his overpowered golden swords. Battles arn't interesting if the main character has a "I win" special move that he can just pull out at the last minute. And it would be kinda lame for the oldest and most powerful Campione to die to quickly. So I did like how the fight was handled.

I think i'll read the light novels after this is over as it seems the anime skipped over a few things, such as his fight with the blonde guy. They mention it but it never actually was shown in the anime.
