Why do YOU, watch anime?

lol ... i was just giving my reason why i liked anime .. not saying that i wanted to read a 9 page thread on how life is pointless =) but yes ... in general when was the last time you jumped on a space ship .. and traveled the galaxy bounty hunting? .... im more amused by living vacariously through the anime charecters than i am walking my dog at night (which is when i do most of my anime watching)

Did you actually read the thread? My points come in at about page 5, so I suppose you could skip to there. This is one of the points which I feel very strongly about.

Many Anime fans, or Anime 'Otaku's' (for the Japanese speaking wannabes), live in their fantasy world with all the magical Vash's and Shinji's and Kanada's. People who believe that watching and being immersed in fantasy is better than living reality, obviously have pathetic lives.

Life is what you make it, if you prefer watching anime to living life then you are doing something wrong.

That is completely different. 'Life is boring and uneventful', and watching anime when your bored are two very different things.

ok ... sorry i didnt wanna set the burner it was just a post ... didnt mean to set off a touchy subject .. but no .. they really arent thet much different .. right at this second (even these next few days ) my life will be boring and uneventful .. so i will be passing my time here at the forums ... watching anime and becoming a computer geek until around tuesday night when my buds come back .. i didnt mean to set the visual of a antisocial 32 year old pastey white male sitting in a crampt apartment some where among stale pizza boxes and old anime boxes lol ...
