Re: POKEMON
I like the froggy best, but they're all super cute. What do you guys think about the legendaries looking like the title letters? X's legendary looks like the forest god from Princess Mononoke, right?

AIIIYEEEE. Cannot unsee, but it's a good cannot unseee! I hadn't noticed that, but you're absolutely right. I personally thought that X/Y was going to have a gender specific type of story plot (XX and XY?) just based on the titles alone, but maybe it's a nature kind of thing because of the legendary? Villians bent on destroying nature for the furtherment of mankind?Kitsuner wrote:X's legendary looks like the forest god from Princess Mononoke, right?
Although I had noticed that Y's legendary looks like Y. D:

I'm excited! I really want to see the evolutions of the starters though. I was a big fan of the Gen 5 starters, just not so much their evolutions :/

Re: POKEMON
It seems that legendaries might be based on the norse mythology.
This would tie in with both X as Eikþyrnir and Y as Veðrfölnir. Moreover, it leaves space for a Z mon, possibly in the form of Níðhöggr.

I'm not sold on the Legends yet but I really like the starters, especially Chespin. I'm very interested in seeing what they evolve into.

I prefer the idea that X/Y and the inevitable Z relate to 3D coordinates, since this is the first 3DS main series game.CodeZTM wrote:I personally thought that X/Y was going to have a gender specific type of story plot (XX and XY?) just based on the titles alone, but maybe it's a nature kind of thing because of the legendary?

Also glad to see it's finally moving past the retro look. Even though I am a fan of such games (Dragon Quest series ftw), and still a big fan of the earlier generations, these are the games I've been waiting to see out of the main line series for a long, long time now.

Re: POKEMON
Legendary names are Xerneas and Yveltal. They sure do sound like they come from the norse mythology, heh!
