In a multi-editor project (MEP), editors join forces to create a single video, usually made up of separate 'tracks'. This award acknowledges the best multi-editor project of the year.
(NOTE: there is a separate category for Best Collaborative Video. Only videos made by 3 or more people are eligible for the Best Multi-Editor Project award.)

It's rare for an MEP to feel well put together and have a strong thematic presence, but this one has it in spades.
