legalizing weed: What are your thoughts?

A heroin problem would not strike myself because I am smart enough to know not to use heroin. And if it struck a family member, I would try to help them, and if they refused help, I'd tell them tough shit. Same as everyone else. Everyone should be given help, but if they are one of those who don't want help or who are so far gone tht they are beyond help, then tough, that is the punishment they have reaped by choosing to use it in the first place.

Legalizing weed would be like saying there is nothing wrong with it. There is something wrong with It just like there is something wrong with Alcohol and tobacco. I don't think we need to legalize something else that is stinky and dosen't serve any purpose. Look human beings are weak and they need things to make up for those weaknesses. I know that people are always going to smoke no matter how stupid it is and drink too. You know if we made parks where people could go and do drugs all day some asshole would ruin it by smoking on the street or something just because that's how humans are. I don't have a solution all I can say is if you do drugs your a retard you cannot come up with a counter argument because there is no need to do them.

By the same token you could say people who watch anime, or play video games, or anything else done for entertainment purposes, are retards, because those things don't serve any purpose. People smoke weed to get high and have fun, just like I watch anime to have fun.

My watching anime dosen't affect you your smoking pot affects me. just watch anime and throw your pot away. Anime is way better anway and it's not illegal

How exactly does someone smoking pot affect you? Unless they are blowing the smoke directly into your face, I don't see how they are doing anything that even remotly affects your life.

There is no need to eat junk food which harms your body, or to hunt a live animal for sport which harms another creature much more than smoking weed. Ther is also no real need in the function of our day to day lives to practice religion but loits of people still do it, why becuase it brings them pleasure or solace which could be debated as the reason for our existence.
