I don't think its fair to accuse people of fooling around or not managing their time well without knowing their circumstances. Yes, while I agree that the deadline is part of this contest, the fact is, real life shit happens. I had my video pretty much done by the deadline last night, but if I moved on because a bunch of people had to drop, especially if its due to IRL problems, then I wouldn't have felt as accomplished, which is why I was fine with an extension.

Even with the deadline extension, it isn't going to help me, as RAWdangers said, real life things come up. I have things I need to take care of that I couldn't have foreseen 2-3 weeks ago when I signed up. The unfortunate part of real life is that it takes priority 110% over anything on the internet unless they are not mutually exclusive. I hope it helped a bunch of people though!
