Hey guys, someone called me and told me I should announce this. I heard it happens every year and that it's French, I really don't know why foreigners would be interested in something French, I mean, they only eat baguette and wear beret, how come? It's really a silly look and really, I'm bored of hearing them saying they gave us the statue of liberty... Anyway, fact is Japan Expo A.M.V Contest 2013 is launched, as usual coordinated by AMV-France association, kind of funny, french men coordinating something linked to my community hihihi, whatever. I heard deadline is on June 2nd 2013, 11:59pm, you can register at any time before it, here's the dedicated page, beware, it's a french website.
Look at how these French fellas are pretentious, they only want excluvise videos for their contest.
They also told me they have an usual public prize so that the live broadcasting in the convention has some interest for novices... like if there would be an audience.

More seriously, here are some stuffs that change and should make the contest more interesting than before :
First, the usual 2nd category will have its own ranking. It won't be up to judges though but to... the audience. Indeed, we'll show the vids on AMV France stand during the convention in a 1 vs 1 form, with several rounds, each vid that wins the audience vote goes to the next one until, maybe, the final victory!!!
Then, we heard people's comment about the way finalists are chosen so we're going to try to make this selection as better as possible. We won't go back to old categories where each one contains vid with the same level but we'll try to make categories pointing potential issues justifying why you didn't have the opportunity to enter finalists list. This way we hope people doing the selection will concentrate even more than before.

Practical informations :
Restrictions : The Music Videos must have been created from anime (Japanese cartoons) or manga sources. The video has to be an exclusive one. Use of pornographic or extremely violent sequences will disqualify your video. Such decision is final.
