It's awesome to see the audience vote for such a great Sentimental video and it shoudl be mentioned that only one vote behind was Fidelity by Xophilarus too. WOW!

And here are the list of Finalists. Only Credit names given to keep the show a surprise. All accepted entries (all 99) WILL bw played on Sunday in one of our larger rooms. The contest itself is on Friday at 5:00 pm in Main Events. Winners will be announced and shown in Main Events on Sunday just prior to Closing Ceremonies.

Hi All,

Time once again to for Animethon 20's AMV Contest to open.

Last year we got just under 130 entries making it one of the largest AMV Contest in Canada so we hope to continue that tradition.

Deadline is set for Jun 21, 2013 so you got plenty of time!

well guess i better get around to editing some AMV's haven't really don't anything since just before new years.... if i don't make anything else i might submit it - i consider it a decent mash up but probably not up to standards to become a finalist XD

Over looking the rules one more time ... I don't see the "must be at least 70% anime" being its not there... can one assume could possible submit MLP this year? - just thought i'd ask.... as i just finished a Trailer lately that wouldn't mind submitting if allowed.

It's Rule 5: Videos must use at least 60% of anime content. This includes the use of anime computer-generated animation in TV, OVAs, movies and anime related video games.

alrighty - guess i missed while looking for someting that was the 70% rules which seemed to be directed at Audio/Dialogue .. perhaps i might be able to edit something....

Bascially, it's a "Anime Music Video" contest and as such we wan tto be sure the majority of the video is music and not straignt dialogue

well the last "anime" thing i edited was more in the wsy of an "extended" trailer due to not actually being a trailer parody.... not exactly sure what to call it. maybe a mash-up of sorts there's plenty of music to coincide with the dialogue. it was quite fun to put together - but just not sure if it might be something that you might be looking for.

Any chance you could preview it to see if it's acceptable - just so that it just doesn't get DQ'd immediately after submitting?
