Working hard on a last minute entry... probably end up sending my entries before the month is over regardless. Two is better than none right?

Let's see if I'm able to finish what I'm working on in time. If not, then something a little old.
p.s
Are we still doing that G rated hentai amv?

Re: Anime Expo 2013 AMV Competition - DEADLINE: MAY 4th
I've received nearly 60 entries thus far, and maybe five or six of them are from people I recognize.
Also, just for the sake of conversation, I've noticed an interesting trend. Over this year and last year, the "veterans" tend to send their entries in at the last minute, whereas there's quite a few of the newer folk who tend to send in rather early. Even though some of you send vids that have already been sent to other cons, I somehow envision some of you tweaking and retweaking your entries...
Oh, and the G-Rated hentai bet is still on. Anyone who enters a bona-fide G ratable AMV (not PG, not PG-13, it has to be G, and no censor bars) using nothing but hentai shows, I will buy all the beer they can drink at the creator gathering. And if it's PG, I'll at least buy you a glass for effort.
(And I've already put money aside just in case someone actually does it.)

Well, glad to here there's a ton of entries this year. Sounds like we'll get the cream of the crop come July.

Quantity at this point before the deadline is definitely up over last year, yes, but that's a pretty low bar to beat, plus last year was mail-in. Most people held off until the final week (if not the final day). Since I'm doing digital submissions this year and have made it easier to send in a submission, people have less reason to procrastinate. So, in some respects the jury is still out on how the final turnout will be.butteredxbiscuit wrote:Well, glad to here there's a ton of entries this year. Or to put it another way, keep sending em' in, people.

Procrastination runs thicker than blood in some people.xstylus wrote:people have less reason to procrastinate.
And by 'some people' I more specifically mean me. Damn internet and your temptress imageboards.
Anywhoo, getting down to the wire now. Was going to submit 2 entries, but I've got to completely re-work one of them hopefully in time for next Saturday.
Beeteedoubleyou, was just curious if we were getting those high-quality ballots again this year. And speaking of voting, and I know the odds of this happening 2 years in a row are astronomical, but do we have a backup plan in case of another tiebreaker vote for creator's choice?
