Woke up to an earthquake. At first I didn't think much of it, ignoring my bed shaking. But then my brother came out his room too and my mother told us there was an earthquake. Apparently, it was a big one with a magnitude of 7.8 and even though some of us did not feel anything (at least not in my area) 32 people died.
I'm a little worried about my friends because there was one in Dubai as well and I have friends there too.

I know the feeling, here it was a 8.8 magnitude in 2010, but luckily nobody of my
friends or family died, just some rooms destroyed in their houses. Hope everything
is ok there!

Thanks for your concern, man. I got in touch with one friend and he seems to be doing okay. If only I can get in touch with my friend in Dubai and I'll be a little less worried.
Sorry about your family and friends losing their house. Earthquakes here are common and go up 'til 7 something.

Yeah, man. I'm just glad my friends and family are fine. One of my friends was at work when it happened so they had to run for it.

My mother told me there was one last night as well. I think people just get used to it here since it's often, not always, but often. We have other things going on around the city too so the earthquake news will probably fade away within a few days.
