Windows Movie Maker Question
Okay heres the deal, I can't seperate the sound on my clips from the video itself. What I mean is, I have a bunch of clips but they all have sound on them, I want to remove the existing sound so I can put the clips together and put them to a different song. Is there a way to do this?? I looked all over the help section but I can't find the answer and there doesn't seem to be any way to do it. Please help me

Help me i'll help you
I'm new at wmm also, but i do know how to take the sound from teh video clips... on the bottom left hand corner there should be a little icon click on that and it should show a bar that displays music volume and video volume.. simply turn music volmune all the way up to get rid of the video clip sounds.
Now for my question.. Are their any special edits you can do to your clips? Such as fading in and out into the next clips.. or overlaying clips. I've seen it on several music videos but i havent found out how to do it my self.. Any one can help me out?

Wait now, let me see if I understand the question. You ripped off footage from other peoples AMV's and you want now to use them in you own? Is this what I hear? Isn't that cheating? And I'm positive there are rules against that! If not there should be, it's totally immoral.

Download WMM 2 beta from here. WMM 2 has special effect. I hear you can do fades in 1, but I don't know how.

GOD... i x'd out my browser and i have to retype my reply now... anyway, pilking.. she probably meant that she wants to take out the audio from her source clips and only use seperate music. not steal ppl's amv's... wtf
bunni - do exactly this:
1) Import ur vidz and ur music in WMM.
2) Put ur vidz and ur music onto ur timeline. If u dunno whether ur in the timelnie or storyboard, go to the lower-left corner of ur screen and click the top button of the five. Storyboard's the one with film-like things goin across it and timeline's the thing with numbers across the top.
3) Click the bottom-most button on the lower-left side of ur screen. A window should pop up called Audio Levels.
4) Drag the arrow from the center of the window towards the right. This will make all of ur audio come from ur music instead of ur vidz. You might have to do this every time you preview ur work.. WMM sux btw.
5) Send me a hundred dollar bill.

No no not at all. I mean just sound in general, such as if people are talking on the footage I download, can't have that mingleing with the music now can we. Thanks for the help I feel so dumb now, lol. Thats easyWait now, let me see if I understand the question. You ripped off footage from other peoples AMV's and you want now to use them in you own?
