Well actually I don't like that much this kind of video. So it wasn't very interesting for me, nonetheless you did a fine job in the editing. I also liked the overlays (not all of them, but in general they were well placed) and some scenes you used that I've never seen before. I didn't like those transitions like tv simulator + blur. In general a nice work

Very nice hug it out vibe. Sometimes it felt like the live action lingered too long or could've been mixed in a bit better but overall good stuff.

Also, I almost had to shank you for your outro credits lol That's MY SONG. Of course I prefer a different mix but still lol

I love this AMV. The most thing I love is how it's like an actual music video on TV with the artist plus scenes that tell a story. Great stuff!

Thanks! I haven't seen that video but I'll check it out.

Rather briliant use of the lighting effects to help blend the anime in with the live action. I thought it was done very well. I think I would have liked it better though if you had followed more of a centric story with just 2 characters and have the live singer as more of a story teller (singing about the couple), would've gave it more purpose to use the live action in it in IMO. The multiple anime selections kinda detract it from being a really nice story telling video, which is a shame since this song has so much emotion and touching words in it that could've been exploited in such a video. Still nice editing, and enjoyed watching it!

Mhm, at first watch orginal music video felt like standing out way too much from rest , with another attempts to watch it, it got more seamless and fitting i guess.

Anyway vid was well edited, but it feels a tad too linear similary to music. Yep cant really enjoy it because of music , too bland for me . Also maybe its just me but lighting effects did help blend it wit song vid , yet at same time they didnt blend in all that great with anime sometimes coloring felt a bit too random or out of place. Im not really sure how to make sense out of what i have in mind, sorry if it sounds too critic :P. Also that scratches effect thing, meh. Still anime did mash quite well together, so i guess its quite interesing attempt here.
Still better than that MMO.

Nice job. Calling this an "animeMUSICVIDEO" is spot-on, and if throwing some anime and overlays into the original music video to convey your mood is what you were going for, then success.
As an emotional video, it's not as powerful as it might've been. More camera dynamics (you had a steady shake, but most scenes were kinda static) would've made it more active, as would quicker cuts. Choppier scenes like the Chihafayuru one at 2:45 packed more of a punch, but for the most part you slowed the pace by syncing longer scenes to the syllables. The flares also detract from the drama, since they distract the viewer with something pretty and in some cases (like in the introduction, with Okazaki and little-Nagisa hugging in the field after the original music video appears for the first time) compete with the anime for attention. Might just be me, but the flares seem to say "nothing matters anyway because everything's sparkly in the end," by blinding the viewer to the drama. The original music video, too, makes it less powerful because the guy doesn't do anything but play and look half-amused, and though I didn't count I wouldn't be surprised if he took up half the length of the AMV. What's his relationship to the anime characters, and how do the characters relate to each other or to the song in the first place?
But those questions are irrelevant if mood was the key in editing this video. In the end it leaves a viewer soothed and happier, without going through the BS of asking a viewer to imagine what it'd be like if Phillip interacted with the characters. 0:46-0:50 and 1:40-1:48 were my favorite parts. And I'm not biased, but 2:50-2:52 was nice. Those sequences, I think, show what it's all about.
As for technicalities,
There was potential for very awkward cuts between the original music video and the anime, but you switched between them appropriately. Don't know if you followed the original editing, but it worked.
0:35-0:37 felt cluttered. There were a flew slow frames where the animation wasn't as smooth as it should've been to get that quicker pace. I didn't like the film-y effect much, honestly not sure if you just threw it in there for the laels. The film strip/borders around the last Clannad scene I thought could go, since it wasn't there in the introduction. Nice visual quality, looked very clean.

This is a video to watch when it's cold outside. Nice timing.
