MTAC 2014 AMV Contest - Now with Winners!
I apologize for the rules / submission be posted with such short notice, but I came onto this con late in the game. Due to the last minute posting of the rules we are allowing people to enter up to 6 videos (1 per category).

The MTAC AMV Contest
Who can enter?
The contest is open to all, except for the staff and judges of the MTAC AMV team. Attendance at MTAC is not a requirement, but is strongly encouraged. Please read and understand all the rules listed below. If there are any questions or concerns, please email your questions to the MTAC AMV coordinator (all contact information is listed at the end of this document)
What can I enter?
An edited video production work featuring your choice of audio (mainly music) and any anime video sources. Until further notice each person (or team) may send a maximum of 6 entries, but only one per category.
When can I enter?
Video submissions will be accepted from now until March 3rd, 2014. Please upload your entry to Sendspace, Google Drive, or DropBox and send the download link in your submission form.

Video Entry Requirements
Please provide blank space of 3 seconds of black video / no audio both before and after your video. (not a hard rule, but appreciated)
Please remove bumpers, title screens, credits, or any other form of creator / footage / audio identification. (not a hard rule, but appreciated)
Your entry may not contain unnecessary subtitles or network logos.
The running time for your entry may not exceed 6 minutes or be shorter then 25 seconds.
The videos must have been created has a fresh date of being created in 2013
Video Formats:
All videos are required to be in at least a resolution of 640 x 480 or 1280 x 720 (720p preferred) and a frame rate of 23.98 (preferred) or 29.976.
Audio must be at a sampling rate of no lower than 44,100 Hz (48,000 Hz preferred).
Entries must not have any severe interlacing, video artifacts, or macro-blocks, and the audio must sound clean and undistorted.
Accepted Media Formats:
MP4: H.264 video compression

*If a category does not get enough entries / finalists it may be dropped from the contest or folded into an appropriate category.

By submitting your video to this contest you authorize MTAC staff to screen and distribute it under the MTAC AMV contest title. MTAC staff reserves the right to disqualify entries for any reason deemed necessary to protect the overall quality and integrity of the event. Entries may be disqualified for failure to adhere to the rules stated in this document, as well as for any fair and justifiable reason not foreseen in these rules. If you are unsure if your video would be disqualified due to the above rule e-mail the contest coordinator and we can view the content of your video and make a decision. All decisions by the coordinator are final.

Did you upload the compressed file to a public file-serving site and email the link to the MTAC AMV Coordinator?

ok, i haven't entered a contest in for a little while.. and hate to always ask the question.. but being the rules state "Any anime source" now i'm assuming it is strictly anime.. or can be anything animated.. such as CGI films, Avatar/Korra, or MLP?
