If ya'll still wonder why I don't staff AX you haven't been paying attention.

Soooooo... having survived the insane flood of videos that is this year's crop, let me put a couple things on the table for the sake of discussion:

(NOTE: This is all thoughts for 2015.)

1) Freshness rule: For 2015 I'm very strongly thinking about reducing it to a 9-month period. I'm undecided on whether to make it apply universally, or just to the Primes.
2) Prime Categories: Maximums will very likely be reduced from two entries to one. They're just that freaking huge.
3) General Categories: Came out better this year, but there's always room for more. The relaxed limits on these will probably remain unchanged.
4) Bonus Categories: OMFGLOL... HUGE amount of trailers. Removing the freshness limits on them was unnecessary, though having it not count against the submission count in the main categories will very likely continue. Also got a respectable number of entertaining Commercials. If the audience responds well, we'll continue this nice little contest-within-a-contest next year.

If anyone has any opinions or thoughts for/against the above, now's a good time to voice them.

9 months relative to what? The con or the deadline? The former gets rid of Oakton-AWA premieres from the previous year, the latter, just the Otakon ones (I'm simplifying, sure, but the bulk of people that send truely awful entries always have more awful to send - freshness, in this case is really an impact for okay and good vids that are old, and those 2 cons tend to generate most of those in that time frame).
