As someone who started in the before time, the long long ago, I still adhere to this unspoken rule. Send to 3 cons and then retire the vid. But it is still only that, an unspoken rule/common courtesy, so to each their own. I'm not one to go off the handle about these types of things.

I am pretty chill now... I know what is what and moaning about it won't change anything. The AX contest for the most part comes off just like what I remember and that is sad / disappointing.
