Now that I've had time to recuperate from the Con... Congrats to all the winners! There were a lot of really good videos (Anime 101 and Good Clean Fun being my favorites). My thanks go to all the creators who work tirelessly for our entertainment and to Troy and Vlad for organizing such an awesome event! After sitting through this year's poorly managed Masquerade (that was such a disaster!), I now have a new appreciation for the work that goes into managing the AMV Competition.

I have to say, the Platinum Record awarded to the Bonus Category winners is pretty cool looking. I almost gave Troy a hug while I was up there on stage, but I think I would have lost it in front of all those people if I did.

That means a lot coming from such an awesome creator! Thank you! :D
Castor Troy wrote:Trailer/Intro - Dead Space Cowboy (no link): You don't see much Cowboy Bebop videos anymore, but this one was an incredibly unqiue concept using one of the more obscure parts of Cowboy Bebop and turning it into a trailer for a horror game. Kudos for the win from last year's Best of Show winner.
Thanks, Ryan! I remember last year you said my video was too gimmicky, so I'm happy I was able to impress you during your last year as a judge! I really appreciate your comments (both positive and negative).

For those who would like to watch Dead Space Cowboy, I will be uploading it to this site sometime this week.

That might've been me, there were (more than) a few times I had to confirm about the AMV sticker stuff with the access control folks cause every time I went to one of the AMV events they wanted me to wait at the back of the line.

I REALLY enjoyed this year's AMV presentation, I especially like that every well known editor that I met had heard of me before hand. It's nice to see that I'm a tad more well known than I thought I am.

Awesome job sir. I was happy to be floored by your entry this year and congrats on winning the prize.

Yeah, I think it was you! I didn't see the person who asked but given only 3 of us got escorted it must've been you. Thanks for that.

Did the sticker actually get us access to ALL AMV room things, or were the "events" (gameshow, chef, etc) off-limits? I asked at one point how it worked and was told I could just go straight in, but then on another occasion my bud (fellow editor) got booted and told he had to get into line, sticker or no sticker.

It's supposed to get you priority access into the room for all events. If the room's full, though, you're stuck outside until someone leaves. You shouldn't have to go to the back of the line.

Thanks everyone for the feedback based on my earlier comment. Just got home from a long plane flight and now relaxing and have a much better internet connection. ZOMG I did NOT expect my weather service amv to get that many views, I just uploaded it like 3 days ago O_O. there is a a story behind this amv and my gawsh its so embarrassing why! I don't even like fanservice. Anyways congrats again to all the finalist and winners. I love seeing new and old editors videos and seeing the diversity in what people create and helps inspire me as well. Its not about winning but having fun and I hope this contest doesn't discourage new editors from submitting because I would love to see what other people make in years to come ^_^

I still need to hang this puppy up. I love the personalized logo/title card below the record. Very fancy!
