Eye Transition

Post by IamJC » Thu Jul 24, 2014 1:58 pm

I've searched about eye transition in the forum already,
but i still don't understand without tutorials
I'm using After Effect
and i can only search Vegas Pro one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC9z6x4UP0U
so far I can stick to 2:03 with AE
and after 2:03
I have no idea how to make it

Can anyone either tells me how to do Eye Transition in detail
Or
send me a link of Eye Transition Tutorial for After Effect?

Thank you so much!

2:03 and beyond, he basically has the masked eye layer above the source layer (the source that is in the eye). he then keyframes the scale (or zoom) of the eye layer from being scaled up to its normal scale giving the illusion of the camera zooming out of the eye. He then copies the the eye layer and puts it in between the the two layers and has the opacity keyframed from 0 to 100 of the clip.

what is the use of the copy of the eye layer, opacity from 0 to 100?
is the copy of the eye layer masked or not masked as original?
