I heard of sunch a thing twice. Can't recall when and where. I remember one of the amv was just a mega blood mess and deecapitations, the other on was an horror one and there had been serious concerns after both cons. Frankly, I rather play it safe with the convention rules on which some media could have an eye on rather than an amv community...

And I'm guessing that with the deadline extended as much as it was, there is no longer enough time before the con to have people send cleaned-up/censored versions if possible?

/me is reminded of Otakon where they had no problem with the possible bondage (X), topless women in dream sequences (NGE), or heavily-mosaicked Shinji-in-Asuka's-hospital-room (EoE)... but corporate logos? Can't have that!

Everyone has to keep in mind often the coordinator doesn't have a say in what gets DQ'd or what the threshold is... I was pissed my first year back when my Golden Boy got slapped with a NC17 at AWA. I sent it to a bunch of cons and most said yeah no way we are showing this.

I fought my boss and the staff people at MTAC last year and got them to loosen up a bit... my issue with a lot of cons is they say PG-13, but how they rate doesn't correspond to what what is allowed in PG-13. I was worried all AoT videos were going to be cut due to the blood factor. A movie can be very violent but as long as it doesn't show blood it is PG-13...

I accept that a lot of cons are going to be anal when it comes to content... I had to laugh when my I HATE THIS AMV! was DQ
