Okay, less of a vent and more of an update.
Carpet people came and "cleaned" the carpet.
I got home on Thursday, and it looked exactly the freaking same.
I could see the markings on the carpet where they had vacuumed, and it was still damp to the touch from their treatment, but running my hands over the stain left black marks on my fingers.
I went and got the apartment complex folks, brought them in there and showed them.
They were like "holy shit what," apparently they had not actually looked at the problem in person, just hired a company to come in and take care of it, and were surprised at the job that was done (or not done).
They made good on it by calling the cleaning company back and having them come back in again, but I had another walkthrough on Friday evening to look at it and talk with them, and it just is not coming out of the carpet.
SO, on Monday, new carpet.
On the plus side, it does appear to be very dry in there now, and I have yet to find mold growing anywhere else. The closet floor is getting re-done in vinyl instead of carpet as well, so that will make keeping that clean a lot easier.
It's great that they're working with me to make sure this stuff is getting done, but it still sucks that my life is kindof in disarray as a result of it.
As an introvert, my home is my refuge, my castle, and when shit's wrong with my castle I'm not terribly happy.
I'm also not terribly happy that they let people service the apartment without keeping an eye on them. Not that I think something would go missing, but you never know.
I really really really want a house. That way if stuff isn't done right, I can fix it myself and prevent stuff like this from happening to begin with.

The third anniversary of my brother's murder is fast approaching and I'm still having a rough time coping with the emotions.

Internet's been down since last week of August. Switched ISPs until the other ISP is back up, but their speed rival's the internet connection I had in '99, plus the cap is 6gigs (and they charge extra if it goes over and they don't have an unlimited plan) and I was surprised I was able to go over that considering it's speed and was left with a pretty big bill. Been considering getting satellite internet despite how expensive it is, so I don't have to deal with slow ass internet and having to wait for the other ISP to fix theirs, and from the sound of things, it doesn't seem anytime soon.

Don't you just love it when the girl of your dreams only dated you so she could get over her ex? Isn't that fantastic? Toys with you're feelings for months just for her to stop and all of a sudden I find out the only thing I meant to her was a boy toy. I hate the world.

That moment when someone claims to be an introvert in front of you but you know their extroverted. They take just staying inside for a day as an introvert but taking a nap will fix being/feeling drained. it isn't the case when most emotional drainage isn't fixed with a 30 min nap...

Even claiming your getting in touch with your introvert side isn't how it works! It can't be turned on and off and it's nor something you get in touch with your master, it's just part of your personality that just stayed with you.

Not every introvert hates people but saying that they do is what brings false judgement and rumors to what introverts are like.

UGH I am frustrated!

My Grandma has been in hospital for over a month. She went in after she had a fall, apparently she had a mild heart attack to they kept her in.
Since being in she has contracted 2 urinary tract infections, Pneumonia and now to top it all off Clostridium difficile colitis, which is a health care facility borne infection and requires heavy antibiotics.

She is 94 and was just bouncing back and now this.

Please if you are from the Toronto area AVOID Ajax/ Pickering Rouge Valley Health at all costs.

Being the only non-white person in your study environment. Everyone knows you by your name and you don't even remember 90% of the faces of your classmates.

I have had the joy of being a parent of 4 kids and being reminded why I never had any kids of my own for the last month-ish....

I haven't had any time for internet stuff... or my own personal space...

I will never have kids again. Can't wait until their parents get a place to live.

It's so true. It sucks if they aren't yours either. LOL

They are so worth it though. I would never go back.

Well, I have other frustrations other than them not being mine... most of them financial and their parents barely helping or barely helping take care of their kids...

If it was one or two, I could handle this, but it's really freaking hard not to lose my temper with 4...
