Re: Innovator's in AMV Editing
Oh there's something that hasn't been done alright.. At least.. a certain song I have in mind that I'll release upon the world when it's good and ready.
It's not the AMV we need
It's the AMV we desserve. (Not really..) this idea is actually pretty horrid lol

Damn... depressing and true. But you can still do cool stuff you just can't say FIRST anymore.Zarxrax wrote: the low hanging fruit has all been taken.

Re: Innovator's in AMV Editing
i've got a good, innovating idea but it involves a lot of masking, so fuck that. i'll do it one day if i'm unemployed and in my mid-twenties

This really makes me feel old.Zarxrax wrote:There is not really innovation in AMVs anymore. Whatever you do now, its already been done at some point.
Well I mean, there can still be innovation, but its really hard to come by.
There was a period of emergence and growth from about 2000-2006 maybe when the scene was absolutely filled with innovation. But it eventually reaches a point where the low hanging fruit has all been taken.

Well. At least with my style, I make semi decent things and I don't use any fancy effects. Just some proof you don't need to be a God to compete with others or make something good. Just practice and timing really. I think editing styles are the innovations. Becausr were all different.

In the end, masking always wins.
