Of course, I get paid pretty well at my job, if it weren't for the fact that my boss doesn't know the first thing about tax laws in the U.S. So either I'm paying the government way too much money and am putting myself in the hole, or my boss is an idiot. Seriously, how do you NOT know whether or not you pay income tax on your employees?!

And because I'm getting paid --so well--, here's an extra 3+ hours of work that I'm not going to be paid for, but will get me fired if I don't do.

I had surgery scheduled for tomorrow. I spent a lot of time doing bullshit paperwork today at work because the recovery time triggered a requirement to record this as an FMLA thing. I just got home through the worse traffic jam i have ever seen in a small town to a voicemail, not 6 minutes old, informing me that my surgery was canceled. No reason why, no reschedule date, nothing. I tried to call back, and the line redirects to the after-hours call center at 5. Can't help me until 8 AM. A LOT of shit had to be rearranged by a LOT of people to make this all work. I can not express how pissed I am right now.
