Hello,
I have not edited in years and I am trying to get back into it. I've got a new computer, new software, and new ideas and I'm ready to get going. Now the issue is, of course, the anime. I'm thinking of a video recently that I wanted to use a few Death note clips for. The problem is, while I usually keep diligent visual notes on every anime I watch in case I need a clip and cannot for the life of me remember what it was from, I didn't do that with Death Note. Unfortunately, it was just one of those that everyone hated me for never seeing so I just went "FINE!" and binged the whole thing. I didn't expect to like it and by the time I realized there was actual AMV potential in there, it was too late for note taking. Ironic right? So I'm wondering if anyone else does a similar thing and would be willing to share their notes with me? Otherwise I'll have to watch it again... which isn't too awful a prospect, I actually thoroughly enjoyed it the first time, but I have over 150 other anime to watch and the thought of re-watching something rather than watching something new gives me anxiety
Q: Anybody got notes on Death Note?
Also, I'm wondering if anyone else does this? Or am I just crazy?

I don't keep notes, especially before I even have an idea for an AMV, though I see how that would be useful if you usually do multi-anime AMVs, and need to remember what anime had what visuals when. o.O I usually keep track of things as I'm unpacking all the video in my video editing program... sometimes I'll dump clips into folders based on theme; like for Death Note, I had folders for "writing" and "crazy eyes", hahaha.
I don't have any notes but if there was something in particular you're looking for from Death Note, I might be able to find it for you, since I still have my project files from my last AMV. I really recommend getting the OVAs, since those have some nice extra sequences in them.

Re: Anime notes: Death Note?
I guess I just know what clips I may want to use so anything visually appealing gets noted. I also usually have about 5 projects running around in my mind at a given time so that helps.
Thank you for your offer! That is a good idea just keeping clips, I've tried it in the past but I like keeping my episodes all together. I don't know why, I'm sure it's better to do it your way but I suppose I'm suck in my ways I recently found some nice renditions of the OVA's, I'm going to watch those and add them to my collection.
I know I at least need the first two and the last episodes but I don't want those to be the only ones I use so I'll probably go through and re-watch it. I thought it was a funny series anyway, which probably says something about my mental stability
