I guess I've been lurking around here long enough that I should add my two cents. I hope the goal is exceeded soon. I don't think the site or the hobby is dying, but there are so many incredible AMV's that it is intimidating for anyone who would like to try their hand at editing. Every year I see new and interesting work, and I enjoy most of them. Keep it up, There is still so much music, especially oldies, that are begging for a good AMV.

Update time: We got another one!! ^_^

Just as I send out two more of the drives and have one more ready to ship on Monday, I have to order ANOTHER drive for ANOTHER $1000 donation! Not only that, we’ve almost hit the halfway point which means I will have to get the backup server really soon now. You guys are making this work for me.

I just don't have words to describe this awesomeness!
there's something truly amazing about just picking random numbers and going through random folders to watch some AMV that I've never seen before without actually knowing a thing before pressing play
(also, something truly terrifying for some videos)

Oh, and the playlists are entertaining. Though, I have not spend a lot of time on them yet
