Here's the consideration criteria for Pre-Show:
1] If you scored well in judging, you have a fair likelihood of being in pre-show.
2] If you also expressed that you're coming to AX, this increases your likelihood of being in pre-show.
3] If you already have a vid in the finals (bonus genre excluded), this
decreases your likelihood of being in pre-show.
4] If one or more coordinators
really liked your vid, it
will be in pre-show.
Other things to know:
Pre-show is shown during audience seating. When the doors open, pre-show starts. Obviously that means that the entries that play earlier kinda play to a less than full crowd. On the other hand, the
last three videos to play are considered "Honorable Mentions". We consider being the last vid to play in pre-show to be a very special honor. As for who gets that honor this year, you'll have to come see.
