Also, just a reminder that registration has been extended to the end of day July 5th. We are in the need for more dance videos if at all possible.

Hey everyone. First let me say, thank you to all of the editors that have submitted to the contest. The registration and video submission deadline has now closed. I will post the contest set list on this forums post within a few weeks from now. Until then, thank you for your patience on this.

The contest set list is now finalized. I would like to thank each and every editor who has submitted their videos to the contest. Here are a few announcements on the contest.

There will not be a dance category for this contest. Only two videos were submitted to this category and the selection committee as well as myself decided that they could not be classified as dance videos. So this category has been dropped. There will not be another category to take it's place. So the contest will consist of just 4 categories. With that said, we will add an extra award titled "Matsuricon AMV Dept Choice" award. This will an award that is decided by the AMV staff of Matsuricon as to their favorite video of the contest. Also, there will be recognition of the runner-up for each category, as well as for the runner up best of show via an award certificate and a prize. All winners will receive a medal and prize.

If your video is not on this list but did pass the screening test, it will still be shown in its entirity during the AMV exhibition showing which will take place on August 15th Saturday morning at 10:00 AM (subject to change).

As for the contest itself, there will be two showings. First on Friday August 14th @ 8:00 PM and second on Saturday August 15th @ 2:00 PM. For those who will be attending, these times are subject to change. Please check the day of the con.

The winners and runners up will be posted on this forum Monday, August 17th right after the Matsuricon. Again, I thank each and every one of you and good luck in the contest.
