Google Drive is next. I will take suggestions for other means.

You can zip the files and put them on your dropbox and then send us the share link

Google drive is better, because only the host has to worry about space. Everyone else downloads the file from it. They don't have to sync to their own account... actually, you don't even need a Google Drive account to access files sent to you through Google Drive so long as you set the share up correctly.

I do want people to have accounts, so that the videos are not publicly shared.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Google drive is better, because only the host has to worry about space. You can do that too. That doesn't stop people from publicly sharing them on their own though - no way to stop that.jingoro wrote:I do want people to have accounts, so that the videos are not publicly shared.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Google drive is better, because only the host has to worry about space. EDIT
The levels are "Anyone with link can view", domain specific filtering (anyone at a given google group domain or whatnot), public, and "Specific people" which is hit or miss sometimes if people have google accounts made with legacy google group domains (like our own @animemusicvideos.org one)

I never could stop that. And frankly, the torrent was even more exposed. One person posting the torrent on any tracker was all it would have taken.BasharOfTheAges wrote:You can do that too. Someday we'll have a real website for all this again. *sigh* This was not that year.

Re: AWA 2015 The Video Art Track - Deadlines SEP 2 & SEP 6
As far as torrent went, has anyone publicly posted the torrent to a tracker before? I know sharing outside of the contest has always been a risk. But I don't recall anyone ever saying it happened. Personally if someone does that they're being a dick. I mean there's also the rare chance someone would create a youtube throwaway and publicly post a video they want to have DQ'd but it's never happened. Having the one page with the individual videos on DB works for me. Created an excel doc that I use for voting and such. Probably going to download the videos tonight and then do my review tomorrow.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....

I'm curious - what's with the numbers? Did you really have a thousand entries for the VAT this year by Wednesday?
