Rad.

And I'm super happy that In the Rain got to participate in the final event. What a weird, dumb, and magical video, set to a weird, dumb, and magical song. I had a blast making it, and I'm glad it's well received (if not by Ghibli and their copyright claims on Youtube).
You might be happy to know that we've had a ton of people asking us on Facebook and at the con about "that bus video." :)

I am indeed happy about that.

I hope you've been able to direct them to one of the few places it exists (like on your site).

Nothing quite like dumping over $100 on postage in order to send AMV League trophies and certificates all over the world. ^_^;;; International postage is crazy expensive. $130.75? That's, like... the cost of one textbook! ... >_>;;;

But after a much needed month of rest, AMV League is back! Check your mailboxes over the next week or so if you won a prize and haven't received your certificate yet.

And there's less than one month remaining to submit your videos to the first AMV League Qualifying Event of the 2015-2016 Season! Entries for Tsubasacon are due by September 30th, and we can't wait to see your work!

Two weeks left to get your videos in for Tsubasacon!

Aaaand I can FINALLY announce another AMV League Event! We'll be returning to Izumicon in Oklahoma City on Halloween Weekend! Submissions for that one will be due on October 21.

I'm hoping to attend Tsubasacon. I'm finishing up a new AMV right now, should be done by this weekend.

Submitted one to Tsubasacon, and one to Izumicon. Hopefully I'll have my next one done before the deadline for Anime North Texas. At this rate, maybe I can get one in for each of this season's league cons? We'll see.

Also, I was happy to find out while rereading the rules that League events aren't limited to Japanese animation. Helps validate my recent Red vs Blue frenzy.

I am a bit confused about this rule:

6. ANY SINGLE VIDEO SUBMITTED TO AN AMV LEAGUE EVENT MAY NOT AGAIN BE SUBMITTED TO ANY OTHER AMV LEAGUE EVENT. Videos previously submitted to non-League AMV contests ARE eligible.

^ Does this rule above mean that if you enter 1 AMV to a contest that's part of the AMV LEAGUE, you can't enter it again to another contest under the same AMV LEAGUE? Can someone clarify for me. :D....

EDIT; Wait, I just read this thread, and answered my own question! Forget I asked@!

I know there's some debate about it, but as far as we're concerned, "AMV" stands for "Animated Music Video."

We just got an Action submission set to League of Legends Promo Videos, and we're not disqualifying it. :sweat:
