Yo this is really nice!

As far as your cuts and transitions are concerned... Great!! Honestly I really dug it. The opening was especially strong.

I think you really nailed it on the slower segments of the song, but faltered a little on the "upbeat" chorus segments. Like, at the 0:20 mark, I would have expected some of the action scenes of the show to come up, now that the energy of the song has come up, but instead it's all shots of the "normal" girls.

Hence, I think the main thing to focus on improving would be your scene selection... The nice thing about the song you chose is that there's a very clear distinction between the slow segments and the upbeat chorus segments... make sure to mirror this with your clips (slow shots with slow, action shots with upbeat).

Keep up the good work!! :up:

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond with the feedback, I appreciate it. As for the action scenes, I know exactly what you mean. I kinda felt that I should have put a lot more action scenes in the entire AMV, but at the same time I really wanted to have more of the "normal" girls in order to try and keep the correlation between the two worlds kind of even. I felt that if I started putting in more action scenes, I would have ended up just making the entire AMV action, and then it wouldn't have been as special or different than the majority of Black Rock Shooter AMV's already out there.

But overall, I really did get the same feeling and I will be sure to keep the scene selections more in mind for my next AMV. Thanks again for the response!

Oh snap, you released it.

(Sorry I wasn't able to get to ya on the feedback. Too much Roulette judging times.)

I gotta say I liked that you concentrated and tried to correlate the actual story of the characters with the action. Too many Black Rock vids out there are mindless action. For the most part it worked out, but the cuts could be a bit smoother in places when it transitions back and forth between the real world and the battles within. Overall I dig it, and I've got to say I'm looking forward to the other new projects you have planned for this year. Keep it up!

@Kisanzi
Thanks man, I figured with the Roulette and VCA you've been busy.

Yeah I really had a lot of fun working on this amv, I can't wait to see the contest at NDK this year. I hopefully will have 3 great entries for this year, although with it being the 20th anniversary, I'm not holding my breath that I'll make it as a finalist this year. Either way, I think I'm more excited to see if you're comin out with anything new :)

Hit me up any time
